A series of emails sent automatically over time to the same contact. Email 1 on day 0, email 2 on day 3, email 3 on day 7.
why it matters
Manual follow-ups don't scale. You're not going to remember to email 200 people three days apart. Sequences turn "I should follow up" into "the system follows up."
how I use it
In Instantly or HeyReach, I set up 2-3 email sequences for each campaign. Email 1 is the opener with an icebreaker and value. Email 2 is a short callback with a company-specific pain point. Email 3 (if I use one) is the breakup email — "looks like timing's off, circling back in Q3." The sequence runs. I check replies.
